Sue was born the youngest of seven children to Jerome and Brona Lodermeier, and raised in Goodhue, MN. While in high school, she was active in volleyball, basketball, softball, annual staff and class leadership. After graduating from Goodhue High School in 1982, she attended Mankato State University for two years, transferring to the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus to pursue a degree in mortuary science. Prior to graduating, she completed her internship with Kok Funeral Home in St. Paul Park.
After graduating with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Mortuary Science in 1986, Sue was employed with Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home in Anoka for a short time. In October 1986, Sue moved to Cannon Falls, and has been with Lundberg Funeral Home and Kok Funeral Home since that time.
Sue married Dave Klicka in June 2003 and they have four children. She continues to golf and ski with her family, and enjoys sports (including the Vikings!) Sue is a member of St. Pius V Catholic Church in Cannon Falls, where she has served on the parish council.
Jeff began working with staff and families at Lundberg Funeral Home in the fall of 2016.
He grew up in El Dorado, Kansas where he graduated from high school in 1978. Following high school, Jeff graduated from the Wesley School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and he spent several years working in neonatal intensive care.
In 1989, Jeff graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mortuary Science. Jeff served his internship in Rochester, Minnesota, and he worked as a licensed funeral director in Albert Lea for 26 years.
Jeff feels that funeral service is truly his calling in life and he loves being able to provide help and guidance to families.
Jeff and his wife Joy have two sons. He is active in the Episcopal Church, the Lion’s Club, and is a member of the Sons of the American Legion. Jeff is a sports fan, and he enjoys music, trivia, reading, and he is passionate about playing guitar.
Lara grew up in Glenwood, Minnesota on a dairy farm. After graduating from high school, she attended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis graduating in 1994 with a bachelor degree in Mortuary Science. She married her high school sweetheart, Mike Shea and they have enjoyed working together in funeral service for many years since then.
Lara’s passion for funeral service has grown as she has witnessed the importance in those end of life moments that are forever marked. That is why she enjoys meeting with families to explore and discuss the many options available - allowing for funeral, memorial plans and funding details to be thoroughly considered and noted for future reference.
Lara values her time with husband and their four children: Caleb and wife, Kristen, Zachary, Sophia and Elliana. She also enjoys being active in their church, mentoring, reading, biking, and helping out in whatever arenas of life their children are involved in.
Mike grew up in Glenwood, Minnesota the oldest of five children. He graduated in 1987 from Glenwood High School. In 1992, he married his high school sweetheart, Lara. They both went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota in 1994 with degrees in Mortuary Science. They returned to their home town and served families at the Hoplin Funeral Home for over 11 years. In 2006, they moved to Missouri to work in children's ministry before returning to Minnesota in 2009. It was at that time that Mike returned to working in funeral service. Mike joined the staff at Kok Funeral Home in 2011 and is looking forward to serving the community.
After many years of experience, Mike knows the committment necessary to work with and walk beside families during difficult situations. He feels that attention to detail and serving the individualized unique needs of each family is critical. Mike considers it an honor to be a part of that sacred moment of saying goodbye to a loved one.
Mike and his wife, Lara have four children, two sons and two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys being engaged in his children's lives, reading, do-it-yourself projects, playing all kinds of sports and staying active in their church.
Originally from Prescott, WI, Amy lives in Cottage Grove and has many family members from this area as well. She has a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing and a master’s degree in criminal justice leadership. Amy spent 18 years in the criminal justice field as a 911 dispatcher in Anoka County and a criminal records manager at the University of Minnesota.
Amy and her husband, Bob, have a son named Gabriel and a daughter named Raegan. Outside of work, being a hockey and dance mom occupies much of Amy’s spare time. She is active with the Cottage Grove Hockey Association and the Cottage Grove Football Association. Amy also loves to take on any baking challenge (besides wedding cakes!).
Nina was born in Northfield, Minnesota and grew up in Cannon Falls, being one of six children. She married her high school sweetheart and moved to rural Cannon Falls where she began a new experience as a farm wife. She has lived in the same home for almost 50 years. Together they raised four children.
Nina began her nursing career as a Licensed Practical Nurse and later attended St. Olaf College to obtain her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Eventually she attended the University of Minnesota earning her Masters Degree in Nursing Education. Her 45+ years of nursing afforded her opportunities to work in many capacities. Her last 20 years of nursing were at the Minneapolis VA Hospital where she worked as a staff nurse, Nurse Educator, Nurse Manager on a Polytrauma unit and in Home and Community Care where she surveyed VA contract Nursing Facilities assuring that the care being provided for veterans met the standards set by the VA. Nina retired from nursing in 2014.
Since retirement she has become very involved in the community by serving as a board member at the Cannon Valley Senior Center, and as a lay member on the Goodhue County Board of Health and Human Services. She also volunteers in the community.
Nina is an active member of the Spring Garden Lutheran Church. She is an avid reader and traveler as well as a quilter and gardener. Her roots are deep in Cannon Falls and she feels a close bond to her community and will go out of her way to help and support families especially at times of loss.
