Zandra Soza-McKeag, age 57 of Cannon Falls, died on Monday morning, September 27, 2010 at the Rochester Methodist Hospital.
Zandra Soza was born in Orange, California on June 18, 1953, the daughter of William and Inez (Sepulveda) Soza. Zandra was proud of her heritage as a Cahuilla Indian and was raised on the Soboba Reservation in San Jacinto, California. She attended the University of California Davis, earning a degree in Social Psychology. Zandra married David Brian McKeag on November 4, 1979 in Riverside, California. Zandra loved to sing; she was a member of the Sweet Adelines International for 15 years, spending 12 of those years with the Twin Cities Show Chorus. She also loved to travel and ride her Harley.
Zandra is survived by her husband of 30 years David McKeag; son, David Derek (Nichole) McKeag of Taylors Falls; mother, Inez Soza; sister, Suzanne (Andrew) Verdugo; brothers William Paul Soza Jr. and David Soza; nieces; Shoshana Ybarra and Ariana Verdugo.
She was preceded in death by her father William Paul Soza Sr.
Memorial service and visitation will be held on Thursday, September 30 from 4-7 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. Interment will follow in California at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Sweet Adelines International “Young Women in Harmony”.
