William Edward "Bill" Crookshank, age 46 of Randolph, died on Thursday, April 16, 2009 as a result of a vehicular accident in Iowa.
Bill was born on October 13, 1962 in West Covina, California, the son of Robert and Sally (Prew) Crookshank. He graduated from Randolph High School in 1981, and went on to Dakota County Technical College for tool and die. He worked in tool and die making for a short time, and then started driving truck. He drove for Wausau in Cannon Falls, and was currently trucking for G. Dubbels Trucking in Randolph.
Bill was an active member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Randolph, where he had served as trustee. He was a member of the Hampton Sportsman's Club, and had also been a member of the Randolph/Hampton Volunteer Fire Department for 10 years. Bill enjoyed drag racing and NASCAR, riding motorcycle, and driving truck, where he could see the country. He enjoyed passing time by sitting down and having conversations with those he would see! He will be remembered most for his love of family, and especially enjoyed time with his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his brother and sisters, Bob and Dawn Marie Crookshank of Tahuya, WA, Sue and Gary Siebenaler of Randolph, Shelly and Terry McElmury of Lewiston, and Stacy and Tom Moore of Akeley; nephews and nieces, Brad Crookshank, Kayla (Paul) Coleman, Ryan Crookshank, Paul Siebenaler, Krystle (Jeff) Davis, Heather Siebenaler (Josh Haro), Amber and Tanner McElmury, Josh Moore (Jennifer James), Reece and Amie Moore; great nieces and nephew, Emily, Addison, Isabella and Joseph; aunt and uncle, Kay and Jerry Ruehle of Ruthven, IA; and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 24 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Randolph with Pastor Steven Schwartz officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Randolph.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. There will also be visitation at the church on Friday from 10-11 a.m.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Siebenaler, Brad and Ryan Crookshank, Josh and Reece Moore, Jeff Davis, Josh Haro, Tanner McElmury, Arnie Rauvola and Jeff Robinson. Also serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Randolph/Hampton Fire Department, and his many family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in Bill’s memory.
