Willa Kathryn Davis, age 92 of Cannon Falls, died on Thursday evening, February 7, 2008 at the Cannon Falls Medical Center.
Willa was born on August 23, 1915 in Warren, MN, the daughter of William and Josephine (Schill) Kennedy.
Willa married Harold A. Davis on November 14, 1936 in Hastings. A dedicated wife and mother, they raised their family in Cannon Falls. They were married for 56 years, when Harold died on January 7, 1993.
Willa was a long-time member of the Order of the Eastern Star/Zion Chapter #6.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; son, Michael "Mick"; five brothers, Claude, Glen, Harry, Vernon and Sam Kennedy; and two sisters, Arlene Arney and Josephine Wiberg.
She is survived by her son, Robert "Bob" of Red Wing; brother, Roy (Mary) Kennedy of Kellogg; sisters-in-law, Helen Kennedy, Louise Kennedy and Olivia Kennedy, all of Wabasha, and Dora Kennedy of Owatonna; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 12 at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 10:30-11:00 a.m. The Reverend Roger Claxton will officiate.
Spring interment of her cremated remains will be held on Saturday, May 3 at 11 a.m. at Cherry Valley Cemetery in Stanton Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to ProAct, 204 Mississippi Ave., Red Wing, MN 55066, or to donor's choice.
