Virginia Henry

Virginia Suzanne Henry, age 80, of Cannon Falls died Sunday April 26, 2009 at the Cannon Falls Medical Center.

Virginia was born on May 8, 1928 in Chicago, IL., the daughter of Susan (Schreiver) and Robert Bechtel. When she was 17 Virginia’s family moved to Augusta, WI. where she graduated from high school. She then attended two years of college in Eau Claire, WI.

On May 24, 1952, at age 24, she married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Henry of Fall Creek, WI. The couple moved to Cannon Falls in 1959. Virginia was a loving wife and devoted mother to her three children.

Virginia is lovingly survived by her husband of 57 years, Ken; two daughters Kaye Henry of Minneapolis and Ann Henry of St. Paul; her two brothers Kirk Bechtel of Brookfield, WI. and Charles “Chip” Bechtel of Augusta, WI. and their extended families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son Britt in 1991; her 15 year old brother Edwin and her 8 year old sister Mary Lou.

Inurnment will take place at a later date in Ludington, WI. No memorials please.
