Theodore Lewis "Ted" Holm, age 73 formerly of Randolph, died on Saturday morning, October 14, 2006 at the Three Links Care Center in Northfield, where he has been residing the past three years.
Ted was born on November 22, 1932 in Iowa, the son of Albert K. and Lucille L. (Nelson) Holm.
He served in Alaska with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He returned and later married Ethel A. Nelson on January 12, 1964. They moved to Randolph in 1972.
Ted was a member of the VFW/American Legion in Cloquet, MN. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, farming, and spending time with his family.
Ted had been employed for many years at Hancock Concrete in Cannon Falls, and later at Rosemount Office Systems. In 1994, he had a stroke that left him unable to work and was homebound from that time on.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 43 years, Ethel of Cannon Falls; five children, Steve Savage of East Grand Forks, Sandra (Tom) Hillman of Duluth, Joseph (Jeanne) Savage of St. Paul, Christina "Chris" Bergeson (Dan Loesch) of Northfield, and David Holm of Northfield; 11 grandchildren, Rachel, Brett, Joshua, Jessica, Bobby, Ashley, Brandon, Jordan, Isaiah, Lindsey and Blake; brother, Al (Florence) Holm of Carleton; sister-in-law, Dorothy Holm of Clinton, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lucille Holm, son, Jeffrey on October 14, 1992; and brothers, Jerry and Robert Holm.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 20 at 1:00 pm at St. Mark?s Lutheran Church in Randolph, with Pastor Steven Schwartz officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow at Lakeside Cemetery near Randolph.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-8 pm at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. There will also be visitation at the church on Friday from 12-1 pm.
