Terry Jo “T.J.” (Willis) Walker, age 63 of Minneapolis, died on Sunday evening, November 12, 2017 at her mother’s home in Cannon Falls.
Terry was born on September 28, 1954 in Red Wing, the daughter of Clair and Marlene (Berg) Willis. She graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1972, and went to Rochester Technical College, receiving a dental assistant certificate in 1974. She married Ron Bang, and together they had their son, Aaron. She married Rod Walker on September 6, 2015 in Minneapolis.
She worked as a dental assistant in Clear Lake, IA and Minneapolis. She was a professional photographer and owned/operated “Studio B” in Lake City for many years. She had also worked as a flight attendant for Pinnacle Airlines. Most recently she was a travel educator/counselor for the Travel Academy in Eagan.
Terry “T.J.” was very creative, an avid crocheter, and a gourmet cook. She excelled in all her jobs and was loved by everyone she worked for. She and her mother loved the “I Love Lucy” show and would recreate them for a lot of laughs. She loved the Florida beaches and in a perfect world, would have lived there.
She is survived by her husband, Rod; son, Aaron (Kelly) Bang of Fort Meyers, FL and grandchildren, Presley Joan and Ethan Sawyer; step children, Brandon (Carissa) Walker of Fort Bragg, NC and grandchildren, Aria and Willow, Ryane Walker (Linus Bene) of Brussels, Belgium, and Maria (Sam) Matlin of Minneapolis; mother, Marlene Willis of Cannon Falls; sister and brothers, Peggy (David) Harmin of Buena Vista, CO, Jamey (Beth) Willis of Colorado Springs, CO, and David (Colleen) Willis of Cannon Falls; many wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins, especially Marcia Flom; and many very special friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Clair on April 17, 2016; grandparents, Francis and Elizabeth Fanning and Anton and Minnie Berg; and aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, November 28 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation from 1-2 p.m., at St. Ansgar’s Lutheran Church, 7459 Hwy 19 Blvd, Cannon Falls.
Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews, Summer Slone, Calloway Willis, Nadine Hall, Caroline Willis, Tony Willis, and Addison Harmin.
