Suzann Wolkenhauer

Suzann Elizabeth Wolkenhauer, age 62, a long time resident of Cannon Falls, MN, died on Thursday morning, September 9, 2010 at her home. Suzann was born April 2, 1948, in Red Wing, MN, the daughter of Orville and Nora (Johnson) Lexvold. She graduated from Goodhue High School and married Clarence A. Wolkenhauer on January 11, 1969 in Zumbrota. They made their home in Cannon Falls. She worked at Foldcraft in Kenyon and previously at Cannon Equipment, Midwest Importers, and Kid Duds. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Suzann was a modest woman who had many talents. Some of them included gardening, landscaping, painting, drawing, embroidery, etching, stain glass, sculpting, and her absolute favorite: sewing. She loved doing alterations for others and making pajamas for her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Clarence, daughter Rachel (Todd) Pletz of Pine Island, son Wade (Amanda) Wolkenhauer of Pine Island, father Orville Lexvold of Wanamingo; seven grandchildren, Shawn, Shelby and Savannah Pletz and Jacob, Garett, Mahala and Paul Wolkenhauer; three brothers, Bruce Lexvold of Bowstring, MN, Dion Lexvold of Bowstring, MN, and David (Nancy) Lexvold of Pine Island; four sisters, Mary (Larry) Wolkenhauer of Cottage Grove, Connie (David) McFarlin of Cochrane, WI, Jeanne Lexchel of Ellsworth, WI and Justine Bailey of Fairview, NC; brother-in-law, Allen (Sheila) Wolkenhauer of Morristown, MN; sister-in-law, Bonnie (Norris) Jacobson of New Richland, MN; 16 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nora Mae. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 15 at 10 a.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Cannon Falls, with Pastor Barbara Martin and Rev. Dr. Gary Titusdahl officiating. Interment will follow at the Cannon Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. There will also be visitation at the church on Wednesday morning from 9-10 a.m. Active pallbearers will be Todd Wolkenhauer, Alex Wolkenhauer, Doug Lexvold, Jeff Jacobson, Greg Lexchel and Matt Bauer. Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Friese, Patty Miller, Elaine Krailink, Judy Koss, Dawn Wenker, Bev Lind, Gail Werner and Mike Hughes.
