Steven Reinke

Steven Reinke, age 61 of Cannon Falls, died unexpectedly on Friday, August 8, 2014 while in Cheboygan, Michigan. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, with Pastor Carol Sinykin officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls, and on Saturday at church from 10-11 a.m. Private interment will be held at the Cannon Falls Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church. Steven Paul Reinke was born April 22, 1953 in Winsted, Minnesota to Orville and Jeanette Reinke. He was a graduate of Cannon Falls High School in 1971. Steve married his high school sweetheart, Pamela Jean Lorenson on July 14, 1973. He entered active duty in the US Coast Guard and served at a variety of locations including Duluth, MN, Keokuk, IA and Cheboygan, MI. After his honorable discharge they moved to Cannon Falls and he took a position at the Bulk Mail Center (BMC) in Eagan. Steve was devoted to his family and loved his wife dearly. They enjoyed their annual family vacations to the lake and especially the get-aways that he and Pam took to the Maple Island Resort. He was also an avid fisherman and gardener. He is survived by his children, Jennifer (Jim) Novek of Goodhue and Jeremy (Sara) Reinke of Geneva; 5 grandchildren, Shelby and Jonathan Quade, Jamie, Drew and Karly Reinke; siblings, Dwight (Mavis), Cheryl (Kevin) Schiller, Tim (Cindy), Cindy (George) Pappas, and Gail Miller, Sandy (Dave) Gryzwinski and their families; mother-in-law, Vi Lorenson of Cannon Falls; foster parents, June and George Nick, and Glenn "Unc" and Ellen Weibel. He was preceded in death by loving wife, Pam; his father-in-law, Dale Lorenson; mother, Jeanette Moonen; foster brother, Sean Weibel. Active pallbearers will be Jason Santos, Sean and John Weibel, Jacob Werner, Adam Chytracek and Troy Reinke. Honorary pallbearers will be his children and grandchildren, Godchildren, Gwen Werner and Kirsten Schiller.
