Shirley F. Rohr, age 87 of Cannon Falls, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 2, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health System – St. Mary’s Campus.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 6 from 4-7 pm at Lundberg Funeral Home, Cannon Falls.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 7 at 11:00 am, with visitation from 10-11 am, at St. Pius V Catholic Church, 410 W. Colvill St., Cannon Falls. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. This mass will be live-streamed (link to be added.)
Masks and social distancing will be required for both events.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boys Town or the charity of the donor’s choice.
Shirley F. Rohr, age 87 of Cannon Falls, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 2, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health System – St. Mary’s Campus.
Shirley was born at home on June 24, 1933 in Cottage Grove, MN, the daughter of Fred C. and Cora D. (Zinschlag) Miller. She graduated from Park High in St. Paul Park, and went to work for a time at Smead Manufacturing in Hastings. She was united in marriage to Donald N. Rohr on June 13, 1953 in Hastings. The couple made their home on a farm outside of Hastings and in 1964 moved to a farm north of Cannon Falls where they continued to make their home. After raising her children, she worked as a teacher’s aide at the Cannon Falls Schools, as well as the Hi-Quality Bakery. She loved cooking, gardening, playing cards, dancing and spending time with her family. She will be fondly remembered for her love and devotion to her husband and family.
Shirley was a beloved mother of eight children, Jeanette (Tom) Pries of Eyota, Kenneth Rohr of Cannon Falls, Marion Gergen of Franksville, WI, Ronald (Chris) Rohr and Maureen (Charlie) Sabrowsky, all of Cannon Falls, Dolores (Andy) Kornkven of Northfield, Donna (John) Lindahl of Cannon Falls, and Gordon (Teri) Rohr of Lake City; 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Viola Miller of Roberts, WI, Mary Jean Engstrom, Carol Rohr, and Mary Agnes Rohr, all of Hastings; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald on December 21, 2009; her infant twin sister Charlotte Miller, and sister Lucille Zimmerman; and two brothers, Stanley and Wallace Miller.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 6 from 4-7 pm at Lundberg Funeral Home, Cannon Falls.
