Sherman G. Hommedahl

Sherman Hommedahl. 82, passed away at his residence in Cannon Falls on Dec. 2, 2022.

Sherman was born to Everett and Gladys Hommedahl. He graduated from Wanamingo High School in 1958. In July of 1961 he married Jean VanGuilder at Urland Lutheran Church. He continued to farm until 2018.

Sherman is survived by his children Jeff (Denise), Mindy, and Brent; grandchildren Alecia (Matthew), Jessica, Reid, Cody, Nicole, Chris, and Ruby; great-grandchildren Kenzie, Ellie, and Graham; sister Lois (John) Estrem; and brother Erling (Karen) Hommedahl. He was preceded in death by his parents Everett and Gladys Hommedahl, and his wife Jean Hommedahl.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 9, at 1:00 pm, at Urland Lutheran Church, 6940 380^th St, Cannon Falls, MN 55009. There will be a visitation at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in the Urland Lutheran Cemetery. The funeral will be live streamed and may be viewed on Sherman’s obituary page at www.LundbergFuneral.com; where condolences are also welcome.
