Sharon Mae (Thompson) Curski, age 67 of Plymouth and formerly of Dennison, died on Sunday evening, October 1, 2017 at North Memorial Medical Center, following a 2 ½ year battle against cancer.
She was born on August 1, 1950 in Northfield, the daughter of Clarence and Florence (Kleeberger) Thompson. She graduated from Kenyon High School in 1968.
She married Kenneth R. Curski on March 19, 1995. Before retiring, she worked as a contract administrator.
Sharon loved life, and laughed a lot! She and her many friends, including close high school classmates, always enjoyed spending time together. She loved music, birds, fall colors, flower gardening, and her evening glass of red wine. She also played piano and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister-in-law, Susan Frehse.
She is survived by her adoring husband of 22 years, Ken of Plymouth; her siblings, Melvin Thompson of Apple Valley, Joann Peterson of Rosemount, June Thompson of Red Wing, and Kevin R. Thompson of Dennison; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held next Thursday, October 12 at 4 p.m., with visitation from 3-4 p.m., at Lundberg Funeral Home, Cannon Falls. Please come casually dressed!
Memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to donor’s choice.
