Sarah Valborg Bremer, age 94, formerly of Cannon Falls, died on Saturday evening, April 5, 2008 at the Alterra Clare Bridge in Eagan.
Sarah was born on December 31, 1913 in Barnsville, MN, the daughter of Nels B. and Caroline (Eide) Hanson.
She graduated from Barnsville High School, and attended the University of Minnesota and Concordia College in Moorhead. She later graduated from St. Olaf College, and continued her education at the MN School of Business.
Sarah taught school in Kiester, MN, Spring Grove, MN, Birchwood, WI, Luther College in Decorah, IA, and Cannon Falls.
She married Lawrence "Toddy" Bremer on November 25, 1952 in Rochester.
She was an active member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Cannon Falls. She enjoyed lunch with the Tuesday golf ladies, and also her 4 p.m. social gatherings.
She will be remembered most for her kind heart, her optimism, and her quick wit!
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Toddy on August 13, 1990; two brothers, Sam and Jim Hanson; and two sisters, Connie Bagby and Lucy Homstad.
She is survived by her children, Jim of Cannon Falls, and Sue of Minneapolis.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Cannon Falls, with the Rev. Roger Claxton officiating.
Interment will follow at the Cannon Falls Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls.
Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials.
