Sandra Lee Wichser, age 59 of Cannon Falls, died peacefully on Friday evening, August 18, 2006 at the Three Links Care Center in Northfield, where she has been residing for the past month.
Sandy was born on November 2, 1946 in Anoka, the daughter of Warren and Charlotte (Boynton) Lamont. She attended Robbinsdale High School, and later married Ronald L. Wichser on June 28, 1968 in Minneapolis.
Over the years, Sandy has worked as a nursing assistant in area nursing homes, as well as a homemaker for her family. Her main enjoyment was her family, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren! She loved to cook, go for walks, and scrapbook. She was a member of St. Ansgar?s Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren & Charlotte Lamont; and her grandparents, including Florence Stors.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ronald of Cannon Falls; children, Bill (Kristin) of Willow, Alaska, Mark (Teri), Jim (Kari) & Heather (Brian) Benson, all of Cannon Falls; ten grandchildren, Robynn Ripley, Brittany Wichser, Kim Ripley, Courtney Benson, Steven, Joey and Colton Wichser, Kaitlin, Megan and Amanda Wichser; her seven brothers and sisters, Bill Lamont of Backus, Ken (Lynn) Lamont of Jenkins, Robyn (Al) Quigley of Isanti, Richard (Nancy) Lamont of Stanton, Betsy (Ron) Pletten of Anoka, Jim (Jodie) Lamont of Cannon Falls and Mickey Lamont of Pine River; Aunt Shirley and Uncle Bob Pommerer of Litchfield and Uncle Geno Burdick of Minneapolis; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 24 at 2 PM at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, with Pastor Gary Schulz and Pastor Arte Sharot officiating.
Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery near Randolph.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-8 PM at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. There will also be a visitation at church on Thursday from 1-2 PM.
Active pallbearers will be Johnny and Troy Kent, Richard, Kenny, Justin and Ricky Lamont, Josh Quigley and Eric Pletten.
Honorary pallbearers will be her ten grandchildren.
