Robert Mahle, age 80, of Cannon Falls and formerly of Woodbury, died on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at Cannon Rivers Senior Living.
Robert William Mahle was born on October 6, 1939 in Woodbury, the son of Kenneth Sr. and Orella (Krueger) Mahle. He grew up in Woodbury, graduating from Park High School in St. Paul Park in 1957. He attended the St. Paul Vocational School where he received a certificate as a Machinist. On May 16, 1964 Bob was united in marriage to Lillian LaValley in Maplewood. He worked as a machinist for the Deluxe Check Printing company, retiring in 1997. Bob and Lilly sold their place in Woodbury and moved to Cannon Falls in 2002. They were members of Christ United Methodist Church in Cannon Falls and former members of Grove United Methodist in Woodbury. Bob enjoyed nearly any kind of outdoor activity; camping, hiking, biking, sailing, and working on his hobby farm. He also enjoyed restoring cars and traveling, especially going on cruises with Lillian.
Survivors include his wife Lillian; children Cynthia (Kirk) Partello and Timothy (Jody) Mahle; grandchildren Luke (Deja) Partello, Jake Partello, Zack Partello, Isaac Mahle, Adam Staff, Casey (Jake) Rabold, Joshua Sheldon, and Andrea Francis; great-grandchildren Allura, Adam Jr, Kiley, Ryan, Adrienne, Marleigh, and Alexander; his sister Bernice(Randy) Darling, as well as many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Kenneth Mahle Jr.
Memorials are preferred to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Visitation will be on Sunday, Sept. 27 from 4-7 pm at Lundberg Funeral Home, 5839 Hwy 19 Blvd, Cannon Falls, MN 55009. The funeral service will be on Monday, Sept. 28, at 11:00 am at Christ United Methodist Church, 29470 Gaylord Ave, Cannon Falls, MN 55009. There will also be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Due to Covid and restricted space, the funeral services on Monday will be limited by invitation only. Social distancing and masks are required. Interment will be in the Woodbury Methodist Cemetery.
