Robert John "Bob" Hall, age 58 of Bellechester, died on Tuesday afternoon, June 10, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
Bob was born on August 27, 1949 in Somerville, Massachusetts, the son of Lawrence Hall and Irene Lynn. He attended Cannon Falls High School, and married Kathleen Babler on May 10, 1969 in Red Wing. He went on to serve with the US Navy for four years.
Bob worked hard throughout his life, and always provided for his family. He was skilled at many jobs, and was a jack of all trades!
He loved to fish, go boating, work on cars, play pool, and be in demolition derbies. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and especially adored his grandchildren. He was known as "Papa" to his grandchildren.
Bob and Kathy just celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary with family and friends in May. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; three children, Terriesa (John) Crosby of Kasson, Robert John Jr. "B.J." of Zumbrota, and Candis (Byron) Novek of Mazeppa; ten grandchildren, Alex, Abbi, Andre, Aryan, Eli, Xander, Zayne, Avery, Zoi and Xahkota Robert John; three brothers, Harry (Sheila) Clough of Rochester, Fred Clough of Oklahoma and Donnie Pahl of Oronoco; three sisters, Irene (Ernie) Hahn of Apache Junction, AZ, Viola (Mike) Kujath of Shawnee, OK and Connie (Wes) Jorgenson of Oklahoma; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Betsy Pahl and Marie Clough.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., at the Vasa Lutheran Church, 15235 Norelius Rd, in Vasa. Pastor Michael Dobbins will officiate the service. Outside of church following the service, military honors will be provided. Bob will be cremated following church services.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
Active pallbearers will be Byron Novek, John Crosby, Dave Carpenter, Dave "Vunger" Vang, Gary Babler, and Melvin "Uncle Bobby" Smith.
