Rita Mae Regenscheid, age 86 of Randolph, died at her home on Tuesday morning, January 18, 2022.
Rita was born at home in Vermillion, MN, the daughter of Gregory and Clara (Siebenaler) Mamer. She attended Catholic school in Hastings through the 8th grade. She married Jerome “Jerry” Regenscheid, raised their children, and worked with her husband on their dairy farm in the Randolph area. She also worked at Treasure Island as a bingo floor clerk for 18 years.
Rita was a social butterfly and enjoyed going out dancing and having fun! Although a little stubborn, she was open to most plans made with family and friends. After retiring, she loved to play Bingo and travel.
She will be greatly missed by her family… her children, Peggy (Jerry) Nicolai of Hampton, Jim (Sheila) of Cannon Falls, Gary (Cheryl) of Ellsworth, WI, Danny (Tracy) of Lake City, and Mark (Laurie) of Randolph; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Rother of Hastings; and many other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 40 years, Jerry on May 5, 1994; infant son, Gregory; sisters, Jeanette Carl and Linda Cleary; and brother, Gene Mamer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 22 at 11:00am, with visitation from 9:00am - 11:00am, at St. Pius V Catholic Church, 410 W. Colvill St., Cannon Falls. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The mass will be live-streamed and the link is below.
