Rebecca Pagel

Rebecca Pagel, age 75, of Cannon Falls, died Friday, January 24, at Cannon Rivers Assisted Living.

Rebecca "Becky" Pagel was born in River Falls, WI, on Dec. 23, 1949, the daughter of Kenneth and Esther (Wilhelm) Larson, Sr. She grew up in various locations including River Falls and Inver Grove Heights. Becky graduated from Simley High School in Inver Grove Heights in 1968. As a young woman, Becky enjoyed bowling and riding horses. She was introduced to Wilbur Pagel by his sister during this time of her life and they were married at Spring Garden Lutheran Church on Aug. 22, 1970.

Becky has had various occupations throughout her life including working in a nursing home, working as a bartender, and as a sale clerk in a liquor store. She also worked in catering for Lorentz Meats. She was a long-time member of Spring Garden Lutheran Church. Becky enjoyed horseback riding and puzzles. She was a chaperone for mission trips and several foreign exchange students.

Survivors include her husband Wilbur, children Jason (Bonnie) Pagel, Joseph (Becky) Pagel, and Jared (Cassi) Pagel; grandchildren Preston, Brenner, Jaden, Mariah, Emmalee, and Arica; brother Brian (Carol) Larson, sister-in-law Sharon Larson, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other in-laws.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Kenneth Larson Jr. and Bruce Larson.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, Jan 31, at Spring Garden Lutheran Church, 10239 County 1 Blvd, Cannon Falls, MN 55009. There will be a visitation at the church from 10:00 - 11:00 am, just prior to the service. Private interment in Spring Garden Lutheran Cemetery will take place at a later date.
