In Loving Memory of Paul Chavis

Paul Chavis, a father to 5 boys and doting grandfather to 13 grandchildren, has left us on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at the age of 60. Paul's journey through life was one marked by profound transformation and resilience.

As a father, Paul was a gentle presence in the lives of his children; Jason, Josh, Jonis, Jasper & Javier. He may not have been one to express his emotions openly, but his love for them was unwavering and unconditional. Though he lived a life of quiet solitude, Paul's memory will resonate loudly in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Paul's greatest pride and joy was his grandchildren. He cherished every moment spent with them. 

Professionally, Paul's career in HVAC touched the lives of countless people. He owned and operated Dakota Comfort Systems for 25 years. His dedication to his work ensured that homes were comfortable, and families were safe in all seasons.

He is survived by his sons, Jason Huber (Kelly), Joshua Chavis (Cassie), Jonis Chavis (Lisa), Jasper Chavis (Andrea) and Javier Chavis (Erin Preston); grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jaelyn, Michael, Elise, Clayton, Clara, Connor, Abby, Joey, Johnny, Willow, Laura and Isaac; as well as, many siblings, nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of life gathering will be held in honor of Paul's life on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 5-7pm at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. A private family service will be held at Randolph Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in memory of Paul to the Kids Fishing Foundation, 31258 - 600th St., Millville MN 55957.

In this time of loss, let us remember Paul's journey of redemption, the love he showered upon his family, and the positive impact he had on so many lives through his career. May he find eternal peace.
