Patrick Kuehn

Patrick Kenneth "Pat" Kuehn, age 82 of Randolph, passed away at Reflections of Three Links in Northfield on Wednesday afternoon, April 18, 2012 after battling lung cancer. Pat was born on May 7, 1929 in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Harry W. and Clara B. (Johnson) Kuehn. He schooled in Clarion, IA and at the age of 15 he became a welder. He served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict until his honorable discharge in 1955. He returned to marry Janet M. Murray. Pat served on the Randolph Volunteer Fire Department for many years, and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Pat will always be remembered as a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandpa and brother. Pat was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 49 years, Janet on August 12, 2005; three sisters, Betty Kuehn, Mary Trusty and Dorothy Aschenbrenner; and two brothers, Richard and Jack Kuehn. He is survived by his children, Patty (Steve) Olson of Northfield and Larry (Susie) Kuehn of Cannon Falls; grandsons, Jason and Nate Olson, Levi and Ethan Kuehn; great-grandson, Kelso Olson; brother-in-law, Ed Aschenbrenner of St. Cloud; and nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 21 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 9:30-11 a.m., at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Randolph, with Pastor Steven Schwartz officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Randolph. Active pallbearers will be Jason and Nate Olson, Levi and Ethan Kuehn, Gary Aschenbrenner and Paul Bjorklund. Honorary pallbearer will be Kelso Olson. Memorials are preferred to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
