Patricia Ann Otte, age 74 of Randolph, MN, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Pat was born on April 29, 1944 in Faribault, MN to Arnold O. and Adeline M. (Westphal) Haugen. She graduated from Kenyon High School in 1962. She married Tom Otte on November 28, 1998 and they resided in Randolph. For many years, Pat worked for Cominco America Fertilizer Plant in Randolph, later transferring to and retiring from Cenex of Lakeville.
Pat cherished time with her family and friends. She loved life and touched the hearts of many. One day the clouds will lift a little, though we will all have to find a different kind of sunshine.
Pat is survived by her husband, Thomas L. Otte of Randolph; daughters, Lisa (Quin) Podritz of Randolph, Beth (Nick) Lindenfelser of Northfield, Sarah (Ben) Otte-Phillips of California, Amy (Jake) Sirek of Farmington, Michelle (George) Gounaikis of Northfield, and Lindsay (Jonathan) Wise of Ohio; 12 grandchildren, Jason (Hillary) Podritz, Trent (Sarah) Podritz, Ryan (Riki) Podritz, Cole (Megan) Lindenfelser, Macayla (Philip Enggren) Lindenfelser, Mason (Kyra Boaz) Lindenfelser, Landen, Layla and Liam Sirek , Jillian and Madison Gounaikis, and Jack Wise; 7 great-grandchildren, Gavin, Mia, Livia, Quin, Odin, Wyatt, and Owen; sister, Bonita “Bonnie” (Deane) Smith; brother, Bryan (Laura) Haugen; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Shari Haugen, Laramie (Jay) Thompson, Glen (Laurie) Otte, Gary (Bonnie) Otte, Loralie (Kevin) Illa, Don (Bev) Otte, Andy (Cris) Otte, and Dan (Cheryl) Otte; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold O. and Adeline M. Haugen; brother, Gregg Haugen; and great-granddaughter, Elle Mae Lindenfelser.
A visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 7 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Randolph. A memorial service will be on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 10:30 a.m. at St Mark’s Lutheran Church, with fellowship and lunch to follow. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private interment will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery, Hampton.
