Margaret Jensen

Margaret Ellen (Mohr) Jensen, age 93, a longtime resident of Cannon Falls, MN, died on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health System - Austin, MN.

Margaret was born on March 22, 1928 in Cannon Falls Township, the daughter of Fred W. and Erma E. (McKinley) Mohr. She graduated co-valedictorian from Cannon Falls High School in 1946. She married Aloyed W. Jensen on October 23, 1946. They were blessed with three children: Joseph, JoAnn and Daniel.

The family lived in Red Wing, Welch and Hastings before returning to Cannon Falls. Margaret retired from Smead Manufacturing. Margaret and Aloyed enjoyed traveling, seeing much of the United States and Australia prior to his passing. She also enjoyed walking, reading, crossword puzzles and supporting Aloyed’s shooting events.  Margaret was completely devoted to her husband and family and will be remembered for her kind heart, sweet smile and loving nature. She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Aloyed; son, Joseph; parents, Fred and Erma Mohr; brothers, Arthur and Russell Mohr; and step great grandson, Bradley Sear.

She is survived by her children, JoAnn (Dean) Mense and Daniel (Carolyn) Jensen; daughter-in-law, Alvera Jensen; grandchildren, Karen Knutson, Benjamin Knutson, and Zachary (Breanna) Jensen; 5 step grandchildren and 8 step great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 29 at 11:00am, with visitation from 10am-11am, at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Cannon Falls. Masking and social distancing will be required. Interment will follow at the Cannon Falls Cemetery.
