Lu Boeck

Lu (Lourdes) Boeck, age 40 of Cannon Falls, died on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at her home.

Lu was born on July 8, 1968 in Golden Valley, the daughter of Roberto and Margarita Hidalgo. She graduated from Rosemount High School in 1986.

Lu married Dan Boeck on September 15, 1989.   Lu loved to travel, and enjoyed her many trips to Spain, and spending time on the beautiful beaches there. She was always very active in her church in youth programs and music, and loved being involved with the youth! She was a youth leader for years.

Lu is survived by her husband, Dan and their children, Dakotah and Indy, all of Cannon Falls; her parents, Roberto Hidalgo and Linda Soma of Lino Lakes, and Margarita Hidalgo and Dick Ulrick of Phoenix, AZ; grandmother, Lourdes Hidalgo of New Jersey; two brothers, Dave Hidalgo and Michelle Patty of Rosemount, and Bob and Lisa Hidalgo of Webster; mother-in-law, Patty Demoss of Exeter, NE; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Teresa Boeck of Exeter, NE, Kathy and Peter Banta of Apple Valley, and Janni and Ron Jensen of Story City, IA; nieces and nephews, Alicia, Alex, Trevor, Drew, Gwen, Cody, Carly, John, Kacie and Charlie; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Asuncion Manzanera and Vicente Hidalgo; and father-in-law, Jerry Boeck, Sr.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 21 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ansgar’s Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, with Pastor Daniel Feldkamp officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday at the church.

Interment will follow at the Cannon Falls Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred.

Active pallbearers will be Drew Patty, Alex Hidalgo, Cody Boeck, John and Peter Banta, and Ron Jensen.
