Lorraine Tix

Lorraine Margaret (Classen) Tix, age 88, of Hampton, died at her home on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016. Lorraine was born on September 17, 1928 in Red Wing, the daughter of Tony and Clara Classen. She grew up and went to school in Red Wing. Lorraine met her husband, Luvern Tix, at a roller rink in Farmington. They were married on November 30, 1957. After they married, the couple farmed together in Hampton Township for many years. Lorraine was a member of St. Mathias Catholic Church in Hampton. She enjoyed going to craft sales and making greeting cards as a hobby. Lorraine also enjoyed playing cards. Survivors include nieces and nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, and by her loving husband of 58 years, Luvern. Graveside committal services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at St. Mathias Catholic Cemetery in Hampton. Fr. Michael Tix will officiate. Memorials are preferred to your favorite charity in Lorraine's name.
