Lorine Forsman

Lorine B. Forsman, age 97 of Cannon Falls, died on Sunday afternoon, December 26, 2010 at the Sunrise Cottages in Rochester. Lorine was born on May 16, 1913 in Minneapolis, the daughter of Albin and Celia (Anderson) Johnson. She graduated from Cannon Falls High School. She was married to Roland Carlson in 1935 in her parent's home in Cannon Falls Township; they were together until Roland's passing in 1938. She married William E. Forsman on July 29, 1939 at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Parsonage. Lorine had been a lifelong member of St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Women's Circle. She worked on the farm with her husband, William. She also worked at Kid Duds in Cannon Falls and the Cannon Falls bakery. She is remembered as a hard worker who loved her family, quilting, reading and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roland Carlson in February, 1938; husband, William Forsman on May 22, 1993 and one grandchild. She is survived by her sons, Dallas (Judy) Forsman of Cannon Falls and Rodney (Kathy) Forsman of Eyota; daughter, Myra Beth Loven of Cannon Falls; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 29 at 11:00 am at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church, Cannon Falls, with Pastor Carol Sinykin officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11 am (one hour prior to service) at church. Interment will be held in the spring at Cannon Falls Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Shane Forsman, Jody Forsman, Travis Prinzing, John Giebe, William Forsman, Matt Johnson and Jens Loven-Holt. Honorary pallbearers will be all of her other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
