Loren Fox, age 88, of Cannon Falls, died peacefully Friday, April 19, 2019, at his home.
Loren Joseph Fox was born on May 6, 1930 in Hader, MN, the son of Clifford and Margaret Fox. He grew up in the Hader and Wanamingo area, graduating from Wanamingo High School in 1947. Loren served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. On February 25, 1966, he was united in marriage to Judy Fox in South Dakota. Loren worked for AVR Inc. as a Ready-Mix Driver for 40 Years. Additionally, he owned and operated his own business, Fox LP Gas, for many years. He was a member of St. Pius V Catholic Church in Cannon Falls and the American Legion Post 1776 in Apple Valley. Loren enjoyed racing cars and was a snowmobile and motorcycle enthusiast. His nickname was “Fireball.”
Survivors include his life partner Judy, children Susan (Dave) Tuffley, Denise (Ken Carr) Eichler, Gregg (Dee) Fox, Lisa (John Frank) Fox, and Gina (Dave) Dierfeldt; grandchildren Nicholas, Anna, Justin, Sarah, Alex, Carly, Brock, and Tony; great-grandchildren Nick Jr, Sophie, Jenni, Patrick Jr, and Lucy; and many nephews.. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Joseph David Fox, his sisters Patricia Fox and Charlotte Borgschatz, and his niece Cheryl Fox.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:00 am, at St. Pius V Catholic Church, 410 W. Colvill, Cannon Falls, MN 55009. There will be a visitation at the church from 10-11:00 am, prior to the service. Interment with military honors will be at St. Pius Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Legion Post 1776 in Apple Valley.
