Lois Jean Haeuszer, age 86 of Cannon Falls, died peacefully with her husband's hand in hers on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Woodlyn Heights Healthcare Center, Inver Grove Heights.

Lois was born on March 16, 1938, one of ten children to Carl and Bertha (Ziemann) Callies in Spencer, South Dakota. She graduated in 1956 from Washington High School in Sioux Falls and went on to take college credits for bookkeeping.

She married Floyd Haeuszer on April 8, 1961 at Zion Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Together they had four children. Lois was employed as a bookkeeper for many businesses, including Northern States Power, Wards, Red Owl, Dakota County Detox, Cannon Valley Center, and Greenline Disposal. They owned and operated the Cuppa Café Coffee Shop in Cannon Falls and Greenline Disposal. Lois also ran the Cannon Falls Welcome Wagon for years.

Lois was an active member at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls and had taught Sunday school. She was also active with AAL (now Thrivent), as well as raising money for St. Paul's School.

Lois was a caretaker for family, including her mom for 14 years and her sister for 11 years. She loved playing card and board games, electronic gaming, and was an unofficial foodie...she loved trying new recipes!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Bertha Callies; four sisters, Margaret (Ewald) Faber, Irene (Milt) Wheelock, Rhoda (Ewald) Faber, and Shirley (Charles) Herndon; five brothers, Richard (Martha), Clifford (Joan), Calvin (Patricia), D.R. "Fuzzy", and Ron Callies; and parents-in-law, Alex and Bertha Haeuszer.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Floyd; children, Julie (Mike) Bateson of Cannon Falls, David (Teresa) Haeuszer of Orlando, FL, Daniel (Julia) Haeuszer of Phoenix, AZ, and Jennifer (Chad) Wilcox of Lakeville; 8 grandchildren, Nicole Fox, Joni (Adam) Jennen, Mitchell Haeuszer, Matthew McMahan, Amy Dal Santo, Gwendlyn Sanford, Allyssa Sanford, and Tyler Buck; 4 great-grandchildren, William Fox, Benjamin Fox, Madelyn Jennen, and Owen Jennen; sister-in-law, Dorothy Callies of Rapid City, SD; and many nieces and nephews and their families.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 21 from 3:00 - 6:00 pm at Lundberg Funeral Home, 5839 Hwy 19 Blvd, Cannon Falls.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22 at 1:00 pm, with visitation from 12:00 - 1:00 pm, at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, 30289 59th Ave Way, Cannon Falls. This service will be live-streamed and available to watch below.

Memorials may be given in Lois' name to St. Paul's Church and School, St. Croix Hospice, American Cancer Society, or to donor's choice.
