Linda Kroll

Linda Lou Kroll, age 63 of Cannon Falls, died at her home surrounded by her family on Friday evening, January 13, 2017 after a three and a half year battle with brain cancer. Linda was born on November 11, 1953 in Waverly, IA, the daughter of Clifford and Delores (Wilson) Parker. Her family resided in Shell Rock, IA and at the age of 11 years, they moved to Minnesota. They lived in Belle Creek Township, and Linda graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1971. She then went on to cosmetology school in Faribault. In 1973, she went to work at a salon in Wanamingo, and later purchased that business, becoming Linda's Beauty Salon. She married Arnold "Arnie" Kroll on September 18, 1982 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. They lived in Texas from 1987-89, returning to rural Cannon Falls, where they continued to reside and raise a family. She sold the salon in 1990, but continued to do hair and housekeeping. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Arnie; children, Brett (Christina) Kroll of Cannon Falls, Becky (Eric) Melhouse of Monticello, and Kayla (Trevor) Henderson of Hastings; three grandchildren, Christopher Melhouse, Sally and Milo Henderson; sisters and brother, Sharon (Darrel) Vieths of Goodhue, Dale Parker of Pine Island, and Connie (Dean) Buck of Zumbrota; and many nieces and nephews and their families. A visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 20 from 4-7 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 10-11 a.m., at Urland Lutheran Church, Cannon Falls. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to donor's choice.
