Lesley Louise Neary (Lu or Lu Lu) of Randolph MN, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2023.
Lesley was born on October 20, 1947, to Leslie and Caroline Mueller of St. Paul, Minnesota. After graduating from high school Lesley went on to full time employment and held a few jobs which consisted mostly of secretarial work. Her secretary and administration assistant skills offered employment for 30 plus years in various industries from the lawyer’s office, heating and air conditioning but the most referenced and admired company was Soderberg Incorporated, an eyeglass manufacturer where she built long lasting friendships.
Regardless of the company Lesley worked for and the accolades received for great work, her most important and proud job was that of being a mother and eventual grandmother. Lesley raised two children on her own until she met her soul mate and husband until death, Jim.
Lesley and Jim were more home bodies and preferred a house full of family rather than travel and nights out on the town, minus a good trip to the casino for some pulls of the one arm bandit. Lesley had a love for horses which was instilled by her father. This created a lifelong hobby well into her 60’s. Lesley loved to ride and in her earlier years competed in many local horse shows and barrel races.
Lesley was full of spunk, charisma and carried a firecracker fierceness packed into a 5’2” frame. She was a proud woman, who lived unapologetic to her convictions and life decisions. She was often willing to offer assistance and frequently become the sounding board offering an ear to listen and would reciprocate by offering sound life learned advise based on real experience.
After retiring Lesley spent much time with her grandkids and family.
Lesley is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James. She is survived by her sons and most importantly her 7 grandchildren.
