Lee Ann Carlson

Lee Ann Carlson, age 60, of Goodhue, died Friday, October 11, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. Lee Ann was born on November 25, 1958 in Harmony, the daughter of Arlyn and Dolly (Lange) Mensink. She grew up in Harmony, Peterson, Houston, and Red Wing, graduating from Red Wing High School in 1976. On May 7, 1977 she was united in marriage to Keith Carlson. The couple farmed together in rural Goodhue and operated Keith Carlson Trucking, Inc. Lee Ann also was the bookkeeper for the family businesses. She was a very active member of St. Luke Lutheran Church and in the Goodhue Public School District when her kids were young. Lee Ann loved cooking, baking, shopping, traveling, spending time at the cabin in McGregor, watching her children and grandchildren’s sporting events, and most of all, her family. Lee Ann and Keith were crowned King and Queen of Volksfest 2019 in Goodhue.

Survivors include her husband Keith, children Kristopher (Tina) Carlson, Kerry (Beth) Carlson, Kimberlee Lodermeier, and Kamie (Colin) Lodermeier; grandchildren Blake, Joslyn, Julia, and Whitney Carlson, Kate, Jack and Lucy Carlson, Elmer, Emma, and Edwin Lodermeier, and Hayden, Finnegan, and Paislee Lodermeier; mother Dolly Mensink; siblings Dennis (LouAnn) Mensink, Dale (Sally) Mensink, Dean (Lori) Mensink, Linette Nelson, Holly (David) Roschen, and Danny (Pat) Mensink; sister-in-law Tamara Carlson, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lee Ann was preceded in death by her father Arlyn Mensink, her sister Linda Reeve, son-in-law Lucas Lodermeier, sister-in-law Jillyn Carlson, and father and mother in-law Elmer and Harriet Carlson.

Funeral services will be ‪on Wednesday, October 16 at 11:00 am at St. Luke Lutheran Church, ‪308 1st Ave. St, Goodhue, MN  55027. Visitation will be ‪on Tuesday, October 15, from 4-7:00 pm, also at St. Luke. Visitation will continue ‪from 10-11:00 am prior to the service on Wednesday.
