Lawrence Kasel

Lawrence William Kasel, age 72 of Cannon Falls, died on Sunday, November 25, 2007 at the Three Links Care Center in Northfield.
Lawrence was born in Vermillion on May 29, 1935, the son of George and Kathrine (Zeien) Kasel. He was a graduate of Hastings High School and worked as a self-employed carpenter most all of his life. He also enjoyed woodworking.
He was a member of St. Pius V Catholic Church and the Father Paul Judge Knights of Columbus Council #4481.
Lawrence is lovingly survived by his children, Ronnie Kasel of Minneapolis, Michael (Rona) Kasel of Northfield, Robert Kasel of Dundas,and Richard (Michelle) Kasel of West Concord; his grandchildren, Heidi Kasel-Diaz, Justin Kasel, Alex Kasel, Josh Kasel, Brent Kasel and Sondra Kasel; sister, Kathleen Henry and brother, Paul (Lou) Kasel, all of Hastings.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 46 years, Evelyn on January 10, 2001; brothers, William "Bill",Bernard "Bernie" and George Kasel; and granddaughter, Christine Kasel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pius V Catholic Church, 410 W.Colvill in Cannon Falls, with Father Jay Kythe officiating.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. There will also be visitation one hour prior to mass at church.
Interment will follow at St. Mathias Catholic Cemetery in Hampton.
Casketbearers will be Justin Kasel, Alex Kasel, Nelson David Diaz, Brent Kasel, David Henry, Kevin Kasel and Josh Kasel.
