Laura Parduhn

Laura Parduhn, age 90, of Cannon Falls died Tuesday, Sept. 28. 2021 at Cannon Rivers Senior Living.

Laura Ruth Parduhn was born on June 16, 1931, in rural Faribault, the daughter of Herman and Emma (Schlobohm) Bauer. Her family moved to Hill City, MN when she was an infant. It was there that Laura grew up and graduated from high school. On September 4, 1949 she was united in marriage to Victor Parduhn at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hill City. Laura worked various jobs through the years, including daycare, Kid Duds, and Perman’s. Mostly she had the career she loved, being a homemaker. Laura and Vic were members of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Rich Valley in Rosemount. She cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved cooking and baking for her family. Laura enjoyed preparing for Christmas, attending church services and programs, and celebrating the day.

Survivors include her children Vicki (Burt) Bemmels, Fred (Michelle) Parduhn, and Tom Parduhn; grandchildren Nicole (Corey) Carlson, Brooke (Keith) Pavek, Lindsey Bemmels, Christian (Erica) Bemmels and Annaleah Christensen (Aaron Motz); great grandchildren Ephram, Bentley, Linus, Adelaide, Dawson, Oliver, Everett, Eloise, McKenzie, Hailie, and Aubrie; sister Evelyn Rudenick; brother-in-law Fred (Lois) Parduhn; and many nieces and nephews. Laura is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Vic, two infant sons, and many sisters and brothers.

Funeral services will be on Monday, Oct. 4, at 11:00 am at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Rich Valley, 14385 Blaine Ave. E, Rosemount, MN 55068. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
