Laura Michele Castle-Johnson, age 28, died unexpectedly at home on Monday, August 3, 2009.
Laura was born on November 1, 1980 in Northfield, the daughter of Gary and Marlene (Fox) Castle. She was baptized and confirmed at Spring Garden Lutheran Church, and graduated in 1999 from Cannon Falls High School. Following high school, she attended Brown Institute and received her degree in graphic design. She had worked at Norwood Products in Red Wing.
She married Tyler Johnson in 2001. She loved to fish, go four-wheeling, and do woodcarving.
She is also survived by her parents, Gary and Marlene Castle of Dennison; brother, Scott Castle (Nicole Grover) of Dayton; two nieces, Dakota and Torrence; grandmother, Evelyn Sexton of Arkansas; aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friend, Isaac Ekstrom.
She was preceded in death by her baby sister, Mary Elizabeth; and her grandparents, Byron and Phyllis Fox, and Frank Castle.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6 from 4-8 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls.
NOTE CHANGE IN SERVICE LOCATION: Service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Vang Lutheran Church, with Pastor Terje Hausken officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
