Kristin Ida (Lund) Sutter, age 70 of Goodhue, died Tuesday, August 15, 2017 of breast cancer. She died peacefully with her family at her side. She was born in Astoria, Oregon on October 14, 1946, to Dr. Benjamin and Florence Lund. She met her husband of 47 years, Bill Sutter and they were married on April 13, 1970. She is survived by her husband, Bill; daughter, Kate Sutter (Darrell Eng) of Palo Alto, CA; sons, Brian (Julie Tri) of Stillwater, and Brett (Nicole Peterson) of Watertown; grandchildren, Noah Sutter of Stillwater, Madelyn, Shelby, Bryce and Samantha Sutter of Watertown, Sydney and Miles Eng of Palo Alto, CA. Kris is the third of six siblings, Kristofer (Kristen), Sigrid (Jim), Stephen (Ann), Thomas (Lauren), and Kathleen. She is also survived by her mother, Ada Florence Lund, who lives at St Crispin Memory Care in Red Wing; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Joshua Benjamin A. Lund and sister, Sigrid Mae Christianson. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts and Masters in teaching at Mankato State University, she luckily landed in the wonderful family orientated community of Goodhue where she taught German, Spanish, and Social studies for 34 years. She loved meeting new people and exploring new cultures. She had the opportunity to travel to India, Thailand, and Nepal over the last two years. But she kept her heart for her family, especially her grandchildren for which she enjoyed watching their various activities. She will be missed and forever loved. Kris would like to thank all the wonderful students that she was so fortunate to work with at Goodhue High School.

Her remains have been committed to the anatomy bequest program at the University of Minnesota. The family prefers no memorials. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
