Kenneth Popp passed away on July 4, 2022, at Three Links Care Center in Northfield, MN, after a courageous battle with bladder cancer.

Kenneth Wayne Popp was born on January 18, 1950 in New Ulm, MN, to Clifford and Eleanor Popp. Kenneth graduated from Randolph High School in 1968. On August 20, 1968, he enlisted in the United States Army. He served in the Vietnam War from June 26, 1969 to March 24, 1971. He was honorably discharged on March 24, 1971. He married Sharon (Leese) Pedersen in December, 1976. Together they had 3 children, Tabetha, Corinna and Wayne. They later divorced. He was a steel worker at North Star Steel (Cargill) for 25 years, until his retirement in 2000. He will be known for his quick wit, sense of humor, and love for his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford; mother, Eleanor; brothers, Stephen and David; and stepfather, Duane Darrow.

Kenneth is survived by his children, Tabetha Popp (Brett Reilein), Corinna Popp (Mike Bledsoe), and Wayne Popp (Alisha Fitzpatrick); grandchildren, Karmen, Carson and Conner Kronenberger; and great-grandson, Chase Klahr.  Kenneth is also survived by brothers, Michael (Mary) Popp, Rick (Kathy) Popp, and Jeff Popp; sister, Deb Fredrickson; and many nieces and nephews.

Burial with full military honors will be held on Monday, August 22 at 9:00 am at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Please meet at Assembly Area #3 at 8:45 am.
