Kenneth E. Perryman was born on September 21, 1943 in Redlands California, the son of Edward and Edith (Slaven) Perryman. He moved with his family to Arkansas and then to Washington state at the age of 8. Ken graduated from Sunnyside High School in Sunnyside, WA in 1961. Following high school Ken served in the U. S. Air Force where he was stationed in Glasgow, Montana. On August 21, 1964 Ken was married to Joy I. Miller in Williston, ND. He worked in the glass manufacturing industry for many years. Ken was a faithful member of St. Ansgar’s Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, where he and his wife served as Church School Superintendents for many years.
Ken was an avid sports fan, loving all things Minnesota, be it the Vikings, Twins, North Stars, and Wild. He, also, loved to support the sports teams and athletes of Cannon Falls. He received great joy from attending games and cheering on the Bombers.
Ken was a loving husband and father, with a caring nature and an infectious laugh. He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his children Peggy (Kevin) Middlestead of Farmington, Penny Robinson of Cannon Falls, and Corey (Jill) Perryman of Moorhead; 7 grandchildren Jacob Middlestead of Farmington, Rachel Middlestead of Roseville, Jordan Perryman of Cannon Falls, Gage Robinson of Cannon Falls, Breanne (Chris) King of Fargo, ND, Dillon Perryman of Fargo, ND, and Tanner Perryman of Fargo, ND; 4 great grandsons Cameron, Carter, Ryker, and Maddox; sisters Kathy Larson and Carolyn Pruitt; brothers Dwight Perryman and Larry (Dehlia) Perryman; brother-in-law Ken Giles; sisters-in-law Jean (Al) King, Virgie (Jim) Baisch, and Etta Miller; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joy in May of 2017; brothers-in-law Wes Pruitt, Harold Larson, Les (Berta) Miller, Bob Miller, and Jerry (Ruth) Miller; and sisters-in-law Donna Ring and Peggy (Vern) Nelson.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8:00 pm, Friday, March 23, at the Lundberg Funeral Home, 5839 Highway 19 Blvd, Cannon Falls, MN 55009. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, March 24, at St. Ansgar’s Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls. There will also be a visitation from 3 – 4:00 pm at the church on Saturday. Interment will follow in the St. Ansgar’s Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Gage Gives Back.
