Kathleen D. Sessions

Kathleen (Kathy) Denise Sessions, (61) a Cannon Falls resident for the past forty-one years, has gone to be with her Lord and Savior after fulfilling her work on Earth.

Kathy was born in South Dakota on March 6, 1962.  She grew up in South Dakota and later moved to Wisconsin, where she graduated from high school in 1980.  She went on to attend The University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire and The University of Wisconsin, River Falls where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She later continued her education earning her Master’s degree for Special Education at the University of Minnesota, Mankato.

Kathy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and dedicated teacher to students of Hastings, Cannon Falls and Pine Island. She enjoyed her time with her kids(students) at school and guiding, teaching, and advocating for them. In her free time she enjoyed going to Christian music festivals and concerts, reading, sewing, crafting, and tending to her flowers. Some of her favorite events were supporting her children and grandchildren at their sporting events or school shows. She was a devoted follower of Christ and an active member in the church communities she was a part of. Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church was home for her for thirty years until 2013 when she became a member of True Life Church of Rochester. She loved helping out in any way she could and volunteering her husband's help where she couldn’t.

Preceding her in death were her mother, Mary Jo Jacobson, father, James Jacobson, niece Becky Schreiner. She is survived by spouse, Roland (Rollie) Sessions Jr., children, Rachael (Phil) Gergen, Roland Sessions III, and Reas Sessions. Grandchildren, Austin (Natalia), Izabelle, Carson, and Danessa Gergen, Brayden Peterson, and Amelia Sessions. She also leaves behind five granddogs, Finn, Murdock, Mya, Rigby, and Aperture. She will be dearly missed and remembered until we meet again.
