Kathleen C. Duncan

Kathleen Cecelia Duncan, age 82 of Cannon Falls, died peacefully on Tuesday evening, January 21, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Health System - Red Wing Hospital.

Kathy was born on January 13, 1943 in St. James, MN, the daughter of Albert and Inez (Cook) Zschunke. She graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1961 and married Arthur C. Duncan, Jr. on June 22, 1963 at St. Pius V Catholic Church in Cannon Falls.

Along with raising her children, Kathy worked at several local restaurants, including Windy Acres, Little Oscars and Country Kitchen. She loved to cruise around in the car, visiting with friends and family, and trips for pie and coffee. Kathy experienced incredible delight in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Gerard.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Art; son, Jeffrey (Karen) Duncan of Farmington; daughter, Jennifer (Jerry) Stepka of Lonsdale; grandchildren, Lexie (Louie) Wright of Cannon Falls, Madison (Mark) Smith of Elko, Jamie Duncan of Apple Valley, Cassidy Jennie of Oakdale, Joe (Miranda) Rucci of Farmington, and Marie (James) Shrake of Lakeland; great-grandchildren, Ava, Brayson, Ellie, Henry, Kaden and Oliver; brother and sisters, David (Nina) Zschunke of Brookfield, CT, Gerri (Larry) Hoffman of Cannon Falls, and Debby (Dan) Meyer of Faribault; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
