Karen Larsen

Karen Ann (Harvey) Roberts-Larsen, age 81 of Cannon Falls, died at her home at Twin Rivers Senior Campus on Thursday morning, October 15, 2015. Karen was born on October 14, 1934 in Minneapolis, the daughter of John and Helen (McEachern) Harvey. She married Gary E. Roberts on August 16, 1958 and they had one son, James. Gary died on May 2, 1989. She married Lenard E. Larsen on December 8, 1990 at Harmony, MN, and he later died on August 27, 2007. Karen worked for many years at Country Club Markets. She loved to travel, shop, read, and visit with family and friends. She also loved cats! She was a longtime member of Vang Lutheran Church in rural Dennison. She had also been active as a volunteer with the Shepherd Center in Cannon Falls, and delivering Meals on Wheels. She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; son, Jim; and sister, Joan Nash. Karen is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sherie Roberts of Northfield; grandsons, Josh (Mesina) Roberts of Clarksville, TN and Justin (Victoria) Roberts of Lakeville; niece, Chris Buan of Kenyon; and nephew, Dean (Connie) Larsen of Dennison. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17 at 11 a.m., with visitation from 10-11 a.m., at Vang Lutheran Church, with Pastor Paul A. Graham officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Dawn Valley Cemetery, Bloomington.
