Karen Sophie (Burr) Feidt, age 78 of Cannon Falls, died on Saturday morning, April 27, 2013 at Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls. Karen was born on April 15, 1935 in Hastings, MN, the daughter of John Carl and Helga Theodora (Larson) Burr. She graduated from the Randolph High School in 1954 and married Bernard Mathias Feidt on September 4, 1954 at St. Pius V Catholic Church in Cannon Falls. They raised ten children. Karen worked at home, raising her children. She had also worked for a time at Mineral Springs Sanatorium, Princess Toys, Midwest Importers, Black Stallion, and the Berquist Company. She retired in 2001. Karen was a member of St. Pius V Catholic Church, where she taught religion classes when her children were young. She was also active in the St. Theresa's unit of the CCW. Karen enjoyed playing the organ, piano and accordion, and playing cards including "500". She felt very blessed to have her 10 children! She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bernard Sr. on March 14, 1985; son, Gerald "Jerry" Feidt on February 21, 2009; grandson, Randy Feidt; sisters, Ronnie Burr and Lucille Becker; brothers, Larry, John and Raymond Burr; brothers-in-law, Ralph Becker and Arnold Feidt; sisters-in-law, Theresa Knowlton, Rita Bauer and Janice Burr. She is survived by her children, Bernadette (John) Shellenbarger of Cannon Falls, Bonnie (Dennis) Forsell of Cannon Falls, Cindy (Dave) Isaacson of LeSeuer, Bernard Jr. "Ben" (Diane) of Faribault, David (Dennise) of Nerstrand, Randy (Suzanne) of Plainview, Jeffrey (Jason Johnson) of Brooklyn Park, Barbara (Lee) Quernemoen of Faribault, and Kellie Feidt of Cannon Falls; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister, Edward (Arlis) Burr of Cannon Falls, Joseph Burr of Cannon Falls, and Lois (Louie) McEvoy of Prior Lake; sister-in-law, Lola Burr of Prescott, WI; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 1 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pius V Catholic Church in Cannon Falls. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 30 from 4-8 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. There will also be visitation at church on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Memorials are preferred to St. Jude's Hospital for Children. Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Bernard "B.R." Feidt, Nicholas Feidt, David Isaacson, David Feidt, Colby Quernemoen, and Chad Forsell. Honorary pallbearers will be the remaining grandchildren, Brianna and Joey Forsell, Kristin and Michael Feidt, Angie and Beth Stadler, Jennifer, Michelle and Matt Isaacson, Cassie Feidt, Miranda Jenniges, Derrick Cannon, Marissa Quernemoen, and Sam Feidt.
