John Charles Ryan, age 66, of Goodhue
Passed away at home surrounded by family, on January 28, 2021.
John was born on September 28, 1954 in Red Wing, MN, son of Dick and Short Ryan. He grew up in Belle Creek Township and attended Goodhue Schools. He enjoyed working on the farm, wrestling, and causing a little ruckus. He graduated in 1972. In 1980, John bought property just down the hill from where he grew up. He was a very hard-working man and took so much pride in the homestead he created for his family. He farmed crops and raised beef cattle. He also had his own black topping business, Ryan Construction, for approximately 20 years and retired from that in 2005. He enjoyed running in tractor pulls, going up to Canada with the boys, taking road trips with one of his best buddies looking at crops and the annual trips to Vegas. He enjoyed road trips, camping and pontooning with the kids and watching the little shaves grow. John enjoyed his Old Milwaukee and you weren’t done until he said, “Final Final.” See ya Tuesday. -John Ryan-
