James Julius Wille died peacefully on June 23, 2007 surrounded by his family.
Jim was born September 13, 1922 in Hampton Township to August and Pearl Wille. He graduated from Randolph High School in 1940 and married Virginia Leigh Remme on March 5, 1948. Jim lived on the farm where he was born until 2005, when he and Ginny moved to Cannon Falls. He is survived by his wife Ginny, his children Ellen (Chuck) Morrow, Karin (Mike), Nan (Dick) and Doug (Karen), six grandchildren and one great grandson.
Jim was dedicated to his family, to farming and to the community. He often said that he had the best family anyone could have. Jim was an enthusiastic and hard working farmer who had the privilege of farming side by side with first his dad and then his son Doug.
Jim was deeply committed to the community where he spent his life. He served as a Randolph volunteer fireman, on the Merchants Bank board and the Randolph School Board for many years. Jim chaired the School Board for so long that he gave all of his children their high school diplomas. He was a longtime member of many other organizations, including Christ United Methodist Church. Jim will be missed by his family, his friends and his community.
