Jane Knowlton

Jane Lenore Knowlton, age 86 of Cannon Falls, died unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, February 12, 2015. Jane was born on December 20, 1928 at home on the farm in White Rock, the daughter of Alvy and Hilma (Nelson) Martenson. She graduated from Cannon Falls High School, and went to work in Minneapolis at the Curtis Hotel. She later came back to Cannon Falls and did waitressing at the Dairy Bar and Bob Miller's restaurant. Jane married Paul C. Knowlton on June 27, 1949 in Grand Rapids. She was a stay at home mother for 5 years, and went to work for Kid Duds from 1958 until 1991, when she retired. She was a member of St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church and VFW Auxiliary. She was also a Cub Scout Den Mother. She enjoyed doing crafts and sewing, especially baby blankets and bibs. She loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed traveling and camping. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, Paul on April 30, 2002; brother, Harlan Martenson, sister, Fern Swanson; and great grandchildren, Chase Stadler and Lily Angel Page. She is survived by her children, Cheri (Bob) Page of Neenah, WI, Rick (Gwen) Knowlton and Lori (Todd) Anderson, all of Cannon Falls; grandchildren, Jaime (Joel) Stadler of Neenah, WI, Robert (Angie) Page of Hortonville, WI, Stacey (Aaron) Deutsch, Jason (Christy) Knowlton, Josh (Nikki) Anderson and Nic (Megan) Anderson, all of Cannon Falls; great-grandchildren, Emily, William and Cole Stadler, Murray, Holly, Emma and Allen Page, Alex and Ethan Deutsch, Casey Jeppesen, Caden Knowlton, and Lily Anderson; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Sunday, Feb. 15 from 2-5 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. Funeral service will be on Monday, Feb.16 at 11 a.m., with visitation from 10-11 a.m., at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls. Interment will follow at the Cannon Falls Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stacey Deutsch, Jaime Stadler, Jason Knowlton, Robert Page, Josh Anderson and Nic Anderson.
