Jamie Renee O’Reilly, age 32, of Goodhue, MN died peacefully in her home early Monday morning surrounded by her loving family.
Jamie was born June 7, 1976, the daughter of Renee and Stan Ferguson in Zumbrota, MN.
She attended school in Goodhue and was a 1994 graduate of Goodhue High School. She would continue her education at Rochester Technical College graduating in 1995 with a medical transcription degree. Jamie married Zachary O’Reilly on August 30, 1997 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bellechester, MN. She worked for the Mayo Clinic for 5 years as a medical transcriptionist. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Goodhue where she had taught Sunday school. Jamie enjoyed snowmobiling, gardening and yard work. She loved playing softball, volleyball, shopping and spending time with her family and friends. But most of all was a devoted sports mom watching her boys in wrestling, football and baseball. She also enjoyed their many 4H activities.
Jamie is lovingly survived by her husband of 11 years, Zach; her five sons Bailee, Kaleb, Kelby, Baxter and Maddox all of Goodhue, MN; by her parents Renee and Jeff Wiskow of Bellechester and Stan and Rose Ferguson of Dodge Center, MN; her brothers, Jason (Amanda) Ferguson of Bellechester and Jesse (Jessica) Ferguson of Oak Center, MN; her grandparents, Marcy Haugen of Mazeppa and Gregory Haugen of Zumbrota; her nieces and nephews Brady, Jayden, Logan, Madison and Alexis Ferguson.
She was preceded in death by her cousins, Jeff Ferrell and Bryce Haugen, and her uncle, Lance Haugen.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Goodhue. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at ST. LUKE’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, GOODHUE and continue 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Interment will follow at St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery in Zumbrota.
Jamie’s family requests that memorials be made to the Jamie O’Reilly Benefit Fund for her five boys which is in the care of the Bank of Zumbrota, 1440 South Main St., Zumbrota, MN 55992.
Active pallbearers will be Brian, Shannon and Shawn Haugen, Jeff and Phillip Poncelet, Travis Liffrig, and Nathanael Sommer. Honorary pallbearers will be Angela Heitman, Nadine Tiedeman, Kelly O'Reilly, and Robin Kannel.
