James "Jim" Hager

James “Jim” Hager passed away on January 26, 2021 at Regions Hospital Burn Unit in Saint Paul.

Jim was born on August 7, 1954 to Rudolph “Bud” Hager and Ardiss (Thompson) Hager at Rice County District One Hospital in Faribault, MN. He attended school in Cannon Falls and graduated in 1972.

Jim enjoyed working with his hands and just being outdoors. He loved and made it his career to work on cars and trucks of all makes and models. He enjoyed repairing vehicles and was very knowledgeable about anything with wheels. He loved being with his close friends and family and always enjoyed their company. Jim was a very generous person and gave to several organizations.

He was preceded in death by both parents; three brothers, Robert, David, and Paul; along with his nephew, David Dockter.

He is survived by his brother, Donald of Cannon Falls; his sister, Ruth Dockter (Sue Buchardt) of Hastings; nieces, Cyndi Reichstadt (John Widman) of Welch and Susan (Ryan) Dockter Newborg of Cannon Falls; two great nieces, Katelyn Newborg and Meighan Cherry; and one great nephew, David Dockter.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 11 from 5-7 pm at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. A private interment will be held at a later date.
