James Kuhn

James E. Kuhn, age 81, of Randolph, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, November 7, 2016. James Edward Kuhn was born in Red Wing, on November 25, 1934, the son of John and Theresa (Miller) Kuhn. He grew up in the Cannon Falls area and attended country school. At the age of 15 Jim began working in the construction business. He was a heavy equipment operator for various companies through the years. On August 10, 1957 Jim was united in marriage to Shirley Lind in Randolph. He was a member of St. Pius V Catholic Church in Cannon Falls. Jim loved cooking and was well-known for his baked beans. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially going on his early morning drives. Survivors include his wife Shirley, children Tim (Kathy) Kuhn and Tami (Jeff) Becker; grandchildren Chris, Angie, Alex (Amanda), Jamie (Isaiah), and Jenny; great-grandchildren Logan, Cole, Keisha, Giovanni, Connor, and Kennedi; and nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Gerald and Eldridge, and his sister Jeanette.
