Irma Jane (nee Munson) Heitzig, age 77 of Inver Grove Heights and formerly of Cannon Falls, died on Saturday afternoon, December 1, 2007 at the Woodlyn Heights Health Care Center in Inver Grove Heights, where she has been residing since 2004.
Irma Jane was born on May 27, 1930 in Cannon Falls, the daughter of Victor and Amelia (Johnson) Munson. Her mother, Amelia later married Norman Anderson, who helped raise Irma.
Irma loved to travel in their motorhome, go fishing, flower gardening, dancing, playing darts and going to garage sales.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph "Joe"; three children, David (Linda) Jenson of White Rock, Marilyn (Rod) Thielbar of Cannon Falls, and marshall "Mickey" Munson of Minneapolis; 11 grandchildren, Patricia Thomas, David Jenson Jr., Candace Jenson, Brian (Wendy) Jenson, Crystal (Ernie) Valenszuela, Dale Jenson, Jenny (Josh) Stephens, Ann Johnson (Jason Nelson), Todd Franklin, Roddy (Katie) Thielbar, and Kellie (Rich) Miller; 28 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and infant sister, Patricia Anderson.
A memorial service will be on Thursday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m., with visitation from 4-7 p.m., at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls.
The family prefers memorials in lieu of flowers.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, David Jenson Jr., Brian Jenson, Dale Jenson, Todd Franklin and Roddy Thielbar.
