Hazel Lundell, age 98 of Cannon Falls, died on Monday morning, December 24, 2007 at the Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls.
Hazel was born on September 8, 1909 in Cannon Falls, the daughter of Charles and Jennie (Moline) Johnson. She was a member of St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church and was a devoted farm wife and mother.
Hazel is lovingly survived by her daughter-in-law, Judy Lundell of Cannon Falls; seven grandchildren, Greg Lundell of Alaska, Shelley (Charles) Mittelsteadt of Cannon Falls, Joseph Lundell of Cannon Falls, Tina (Dave) Fremouw of Cannon Falls, Jackie Lundell of LaCrosse, WI, Cari (Jason) Steinhibel of Cannon Falls, and Trevor Lundell of Cannon Falls; eight great-grandchildren, Danielle, Lyndsey, Gracie, Anthony, Mariah, Michael, Tylor and Josh; sisters-in-law, Lamayra Sumner of Washington State, Irene Lundell and Lois Lundell, both of Cannon Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Irvin; sons, Roger and David Lundell; an infant daughter; and her seven brothers and three sisters.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 28 at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, with Pastor Nick Fisher-Broin officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Ansgar's Lutheran Cemetery in Cannon Falls.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. There will also be visitation at the church on Friday from 10-11 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Trevor Lundell, Joseph Lundell, Anthony Mittelsteadt, David Fremouw, Charles Mittelsteadt and Jason Steinhibel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Foundation.
