Harriet C. Hazeman, age 66 of Hager City and formerly of Cannon Falls, died peacefully on March 30, 2009 surrounded by family in her residence.
Harriet was born on November 2, 1942 in St. Paul, the daughter of Robert and Verna (Robinson) Partlow. She attended school in St. Paul. She married Arthur Hazeman on January 2, 1960 in Vadnais Heights. They moved to Cannon Falls in 1963 where they farmed. She worked at Kid Duds in Cannon Falls from 1970 until 1980, while raising her family. She most recently worked at the St. James Hotel from 1999 to 2002. Harriet enjoyed camping, fishing and garage sales. She also enjoyed making quilts and drawings for her grandchildren, and loved baking for the family.
Harriet is lovingly survived by her husband of 49 years, Arthur of Hager City; children, Gloria Hazeman (Bill Solomonson) of New Ulm, Art Jr. (Renae) of Goodhue, and Violet (Dennis) Melsness of Red Wing; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brother, Edward (Luella) Partlow of St. Paul; sister, Inez Warner of Maplewood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, John Emil Hazeman; daughters, Mary Jane Hazeman and Theresa Rodrigez; brothers, Robert, Clinton, Chuck, Stanley and Jim; and sister, Helen Hoover.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls, with Pastor Michael Dobbins officiating. Interment will follow at the Cannon Falls Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10-11 a.m., all at the funeral home.
Active pallbearers will be Ryan Hazeman, Alex Miller, Shaun Hazeman, Lance Hazeman, Justin Hazeman and Bill Solomonson. Honorary pallbearers will be Holly Hazeman and Angela Hazeman.
