Grace Wilcox

Grace "Elaine" Wilcox, age 91, formerly of Minneapolis, died peacefully with loved ones by her side on Friday afternoon, June 3, 2016 at the Northfield Hospital - Long Term Care. She was born on July 23, 1924 in Red Wing, MN, the only child of Clair and May (Shotola) Wright. She grew up in Red Wing and graduated from Central High School. She attended Stephens College in Columbia, MO for two years before receiving her education degree from the University of Minnesota. With her passion for flying, she became a stewardess and traveled the country. She taught elementary school in Minneapolis for 12 years before retiring and living with her mother in Minneapolis. She moved to Twin Rivers Senior Campus in Cannon Falls on January 9, 2010, to be near her cousin, Charlotte Althoff and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 11 from 10-10:30 a.m. with a brief memorial service at 10:30 a.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. A light lunch will follow.
